Each photographer has his very own style of capturing. After many years of shooting, you usually can narrow the many techniques and approaches into different style categories. I've narrowed it right down to four different typical formats of Hochzeitsfotograf Köln that we cover. We are completely and fully comfortable shooting each one of these and allow the pair to choose which style best represents their personality and flair!

1. Wedding Photojournalism

A wedding photojournalistic style of photography requires the photographer not being involved nearly as much as normal. The tale is told although the photographs and emphasis is removed from the typical posed and planned pictures. With this style of wedding photography, we tend to stand on the sidelines and shoot from your background, becoming as unobtrusive as you possibly can. However, the photos we capture place the viewer right in the mix of what is going on. We capture natural moments which happen in reality minus the typical creating and posing an image. With this kind of photography, we consider ourselves to become "photographic storytellers," guiding the viewer through the "story" of your wedding day. This is our choice format of wedding photography. We truly enjoy finding those definite moments of significance that often pass by too quickly and capturing them inside our lens.

2. Traditional Photography

Unlike the wedding photojournalistic style, this style of photography has much involvement from the photographer. Lots of the portraits are set up and posed, incorporating a more traditional approach to wedding pictures. Wedding ceremony photographer provides a director of sorts, guiding wedding ceremony party and guests into formations and poses for photos. Although the main style of shooting for the studio is the Wedding Photojournalistic style, we do have experience in directing and leading wedding parties into the posed group and individual formal pictures.

3. Fashion Wedding Photography

This style of photography rings true with its name - it's focused on the element of fashion. Brides who request fashion wedding photos to become taken often book studio time beyond a normal big day shoot. This permits the photographers to plot out a session incorporating more lighting and creative techniques. Performing a fashion wedding shoot in studio also permits the bride more freedom in moving into typical fashion poses (such as the hands on the hips, hunched back pose) associated with a more serious and "fashion-like" facial expression. Both couples request this style of wedding photography to incorporate something different and dramatic to their wedding scrapbook.

4. Trash The Dress Wedding Photography

Synonymous with its name, this kind of wedding photography involves the "dirtying" of bridal dress worn afterwards. This style of photography is also called "fearless bridal" or "rock the frock." Typically, brides choose this after things are said and implemented to offer a creative option to storing away their wedding gown that they will never wear again. A bride can venture out to a beach or even a fountain, take pictures in city streets or on railroads, in abandoned buildings or fields, or even get muddied up in the woods. Often times, brides feel that this helps them release the deep tension in the wedding. It's really a bride's declaration the wedding is performed and the dress will not be worn again, so why wouldn't you be creative and artistic from it? At our photography studio, we have been more than happy to do business with brides who would like to "Trash The Dress!"
