Each photographer has his or her own style of capturing. After many years of shooting, you typically can narrow the different techniques and approaches into different style categories. I've narrowed it right down to four different typical formats of Hochzeitsfotografie Köln that we cover. We are completely and fully comfortable shooting each one and allow the happy couple to choose which style best represents their personality and flair!

1. Wedding Photojournalism

Being married photojournalistic style of photography involves the photographer not involved nearly as much as normal. The tale is told though the photographs and emphasis is taken off of the typical posed and planned pictures. Using this style of photography, we tend to stand on the sidelines and shoot from your background, becoming as unobtrusive as possible. However, the photos we capture position the viewer right in the mix of what's going on. We capture natural moments that happen in reality without the typical establishing and posing a picture. With this type of photography, we consider ourselves to be "photographic storytellers," guiding the viewer from the "story" of your wedding day. This is our choice format of wedding photography. We truly enjoy finding those definite moments of significance that often pass by too quickly and capturing them in your lens.

2. Traditional Photography

Unlike the marriage photojournalistic style, this kind of photography has much involvement from the photographer. Many of the portraits are positioned up and posed, incorporating a more traditional approach to wedding pictures. The marriage photographer behaves as a director of sorts, guiding the marriage party and guests into formations and poses for photos. Even though the main kind of shooting for the studio is the Wedding Photojournalistic style, perform have experience in directing and leading wedding events into the posed group and individual formal pictures.

3. Fashion Wedding Photography

This style of wedding photography rings true having its name - it's focused on the part of fashion. Brides who request fashion wedding photos to become taken often book studio time outside a normal big day shoot. This allows the photographers to plan out a session incorporating more lighting and inventive techniques. Doing a fashion wedding shoot in studio also enables the bride more freedom in getting into typical fashion poses (including the hands on the hips, hunched back pose) combined with a more serious and "fashion-like" facial expression. Both brides and grooms request this kind of wedding photography to include something different and dramatic for their wedding photo album.

4. Trash Clothes Wedding Photography

Symbolic of its name, this kind of wedding photography requires the "dirtying" of wedding gown worn afterwards. This style of photography is also called "fearless bridal" or "rock the frock." Typically, brides choose this after it is all totally said and completed to offer a creative alternative to storing away their wedding gown that they will never wear again. A bride can head out to a beach or a fountain, take pictures in city streets or on railroads, in abandoned buildings or fields, or even get muddied in the woods. Quite often, brides believe that this helps them release the deep tension from your wedding. It's rather a bride's declaration the wedding is completed and the dress will never be worn again, so why wouldn't you be creative and artistic from it? At our wedding photography studio, we are more than happy to work with brides who want to "Trash The Dress!"
