Wedding Photography - 4 Specific Styles and Techniques4075683
Each photographer has his very own style of capturing. After many years of shooting, you always can narrow the various techniques and approaches into different style categories. I have narrowed it down to four different typical formats of Hochzeitsfotograf Köln that we cover. We have been completely and fully comfortable shooting every one and allow the pair to choose which style best represents their personality and flair!
1. Wedding Photojournalism
A wedding photojournalistic style of photography requires the photographer not being involved nearly as much as normal. The story is told though the photographs and emphasis is taken off of the typical posed and planned pictures. With this particular style of wedding photography, we tend to stand on the sidelines and shoot in the background, becoming as unobtrusive as possible. However, the photos we capture position the viewer in the actual mix of what is happening. We capture natural moments which happen in reality without the typical establishing and posing an image. With this type of photography, we consider ourselves to become "photographic storytellers," guiding the viewer with the "story" of your big day. This is our choice format of wedding photography. We truly enjoy finding those definite moments of significance that often pass by prematurely and capturing them within our lens.
2. Traditional Wedding Photography
Unlike the marriage photojournalistic style, this style of photography has much involvement from the photographer. Most of the portraits are placed up and posed, incorporating a classical approach to wedding pictures. Wedding ceremony photographer acts as a director of sorts, guiding wedding ceremony party and guests into formations and poses for photos. Although the main kind of shooting for our studio may be the Wedding Photojournalistic style, we all do have experience with directing and leading wedding parties into the posed group and individual formal pictures.
3. Fashion Wedding Photography
This style of photography rings true with its name - it really is focused on the element of fashion. Brides who request fashion wedding photos to be taken often book studio time outside a normal big day shoot. This enables the photographers to plot out a session incorporating more lighting and inventive techniques. Carrying out a fashion wedding shoot in studio also allows the bride more freedom in stepping into typical fashion poses (such as the hands on the hips, hunched back pose) paired with a more serious and "fashion-like" facial expression. Both brides and grooms request this style of wedding photography to add something different and dramatic to their wedding photo album.
4. Trash The Dress Wedding Photography
Synonymous with its name, this style of wedding photography requires the "dirtying" of wedding gown worn afterwards. This style of wedding photography is also called "fearless bridal" or "rock the frock." Typically, brides choose this after it is all totally said and completed to offer a creative alternative to storing away their wedding dress that they will never wear again. A bride can go out to a beach or perhaps a fountain, take pictures in city streets or on railroads, in abandoned buildings or fields, or even get muddied up in the woods. Quite often, brides feel that this helps them release the deep tension from your wedding. It can be a bride's declaration that the wedding is performed and the dress will never be worn again, so why don't you be creative and artistic with it? At our wedding photography studio, we have been more than happy to do business with brides who wants to "Trash The Dress!"
