Each photographer has his personal style of taking photos. After many years of shooting, you always can narrow the many techniques and approaches into different style categories. I have narrowed it down to four different typical formats of Hochzeitsfotografie Köln that we cover. We have been completely and fully comfortable shooting every one and allow the happy couple to choose which style best represents their personality and personal flair!

1. Wedding Photojournalism

A marriage photojournalistic style of photography involves the photographer not being involved nearly as much as normal. The story is told although photographs and emphasis is taken off of the typical posed and planned pictures. Using this style of wedding photography, we tend to stand on the sidelines and shoot from your background, becoming as unobtrusive as you can. However, the photos we capture place the viewer in the mix of what is going on. We capture natural moments that occur in reality without the typical establishing and posing a photo. With this style of photography, we consider ourselves being "photographic storytellers," guiding the viewer through the "story" of your wedding ceremony. This is our choice format of wedding photography. We truly enjoy finding those definite moments of significance that often pass by prematurely and capturing them inside our lens.

2. Traditional Photography

Unlike the wedding photojournalistic style, this kind of photography has much involvement in the photographer. Most of the portraits are positioned up and posed, incorporating a classical approach to wedding pictures. The marriage photographer provides a director of sorts, guiding the wedding party and guests into formations and poses for photos. Even though the main kind of shooting for your studio may be the Wedding Photojournalistic style, perform have experience in directing and leading wedding events into the posed group and individual formal pictures.

3. Fashion Photography

This style of wedding photography rings true using its name - it is focused on the part of fashion. Brides who request fashion wedding photos to become taken often book studio time outside of a normal wedding day shoot. This allows the photographers to plot out a session incorporating more lighting and creative techniques. Doing a fashion wedding shoot in studio also permits the bride more freedom in moving into typical fashion poses (including the hands on the hips, hunched back pose) combined with a more serious and "fashion-like" facial expression. Both brides and grooms request this kind of wedding photography to include something different and dramatic with their wedding picture album.

4. Trash The Dress Wedding Photography

Synonymous with its name, this form of wedding photography requires the "dirtying" of bridal dress worn afterwards. This style of photography is also called "fearless bridal" or "rock the frock." Typically, brides choose this after it is all totally said and implemented to offer a creative option to storing away their wedding dress that they will never wear again. A bride can venture out to a beach or a fountain, take pictures in city streets or on railroads, in abandoned buildings or fields, or perhaps get muddied up in the woods. Quite often, brides believe that this helps them release the deep tension from the wedding. It's really a bride's declaration the wedding is completed and the dress should never be worn again, so why don't you be creative and artistic with it? At our wedding photography studio, we have been more than happy to work with brides who want to "Trash The Dress!"
