Each photographer has his personal style of taking photos. After many years of shooting, you usually can narrow the different techniques and approaches into different style categories. I've narrowed it as a result of four different typical formats of Hochzeitsfotos Köln that we cover. We have been completely and fully comfortable shooting every one and allow the happy couple to choose which style best represents their personality and personal flair!

1. Wedding Photojournalism

Being married photojournalistic style of photography requires the photographer not being involved nearly as much as normal. The storyline is told although the photographs and emphasis is removed from the typical posed and planned pictures. With this particular style of photography, we tend to stand on the sidelines and shoot in the background, becoming as unobtrusive as you can. However, the photos we capture put the viewer in the mix of what is going on. We capture natural moments that occur in reality without the typical setting up and posing a picture. With this type of photography, we consider ourselves being "photographic storytellers," guiding the viewer with the "story" of your wedding ceremony. This is our choice format of photography. We truly enjoy finding those definite moments of significance that usually pass by prematurely and capturing them within our lens.

2. Traditional Photography

Unlike wedding ceremony photojournalistic style, this form of photography has much involvement in the photographer. Many of the portraits are placed up and posed, incorporating a approach to wedding pictures. Wedding ceremony photographer provides a director of sorts, guiding the wedding party and guests into formations and poses for photos. Although the main kind of shooting for the studio will be the Wedding Photojournalistic style, we do have experience in directing and leading wedding events into the posed group and individual formal pictures.

3. Fashion Photography

This style of wedding photography rings true with its name - it's focused on the part of fashion. Brides who request fashion wedding photos being taken often book studio time outside a normal big day shoot. This enables the photographers to organize out a session incorporating more lighting and creative techniques. Carrying out a fashion wedding shoot in studio also enables the bride more freedom in getting into typical fashion poses (like the hands on the hips, hunched back pose) associated with a more serious and "fashion-like" facial expression. Both brides and grooms request this kind of wedding photography to incorporate something different and dramatic to their wedding scrapbook.

4. Trash The gown Wedding Photography

Symbolic of its name, this style of wedding photography involves the "dirtying" of wedding gown worn afterwards. This style of wedding photography is also called "fearless bridal" or "rock the frock." Typically, brides choose this after things are said and implemented to offer a creative option to storing away their bridal dress that they will never wear again. A bride can head out to a beach or a fountain, take pictures in city streets or on railroads, in abandoned buildings or fields, as well as get muddied up in the woods. Quite often, brides believe that this helps them release the deep tension from the wedding. It's rather a bride's declaration that the wedding is performed and the dress will not be worn again, so why wouldn't you be creative and artistic by using it? At our wedding photography studio, we have been more than happy to do business with brides who want to "Trash The Dress!"
